Technological and Applied Studies (TAS)

Technological and Applied Studies (TAS) is a subject that helps students learn about technology by doing practical and hands-on activities. It is required for all students in Years 7 and 8. In TAS, students develop skills in designing and making things, using different tools, materials, and techniques. They also learn about how technology affects people, society, and the environment.

TAS helps students solve problems by creating solutions through a step-by-step design and production process. It includes both theory (learning ideas and concepts) and practical lessons (doing projects).

After Year 8, students can choose TAS-related subjects as electives if they want to specialise in areas of technology and design.
