Our students can take advantage of several scholarships.

Colyton High School Scholarships

High School Entry Scholarship

At Colyton High School offers up to ten scholarships for students enrolling in Year 7 to assist with starting their secondary education. The scholarships will be awarded to successful students who attend one of the following schools:

Successful students will receive their scholarship prize during Term 4 at Colyton High School. The Scholarship value is in excess of $400.00.

Other Scholarships on offer

AVCAT Scholarships

Applications for scholarships open each year on 18 August and close on 31 October.

AVCAT scholarships include Long Tan Bursaries and Sponsored Scholarships.

Long Tan Bursaries are for the children and grandchildren of Vietnam Veterans and are funded by the Australian Government Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA). Each year 37 bursaries are awarded to successful applicants across Australia.

All bursaries and sponsored scholarships are for tertiary education and are $4000-$6000 per year, for up to three years.

Colin Shepherd OAM Memorial Scholarship 2026.

Colyton High School is pleased to invite eligible Year 10 students to apply for the Colin Shepherd OAM Memorial Scholarship 2026.

This scholarship recognises students who demonstrate strong academic achievement, leadership, commitment to their school and community, and a positive attitude towards learning.

Eligible students have been invited to apply and should carefully read the letter from the Principal, which outlines the eligibility requirements, application process and key dates.

Jim Anderson Scholarhip

The Jim Anderson Scholarship supports students from participating schools who are continuing their education after completing the Higher School Certificate (HSC).

Colyton High School is one of 16 eligible schools whose students can apply for this scholarship.

  • To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Complete the Higher School Certificate

  • (HSC) in 2026.

  • Enrol in full-time study in 2027 at either:

    • Western Sydney University, or
    • A TAFE NSW college or campus.

One scholarship is specifically designated for an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student.

Successful applicants will receive $5,000 to assist with the costs of full-time tertiary study.

The scholarship is paid in two instalments:

  • $2,500 during the first semester.
  • $2,500 during the second semester.
