As part of your child’s study of literature in HSC English Advanced and Standard, they have studied Arthur Miller's play The Crucible.
30 students of Year 12 have therefore been given the opportunity to partake in an excursion to the Riverside Theatre's HSC Symposiums where they will engage with a hands-on experience about Miller's The Crucible. Damien Ryan's intensive and detailed performance symposium on the play offers a rich opportunity for students to meet the characters, look beneath the play – at its language, characters, form, and theatricality – and discuss the big ideas with professional actors who have a long relationship with the play. Every aspect of the HSC Symposium is geared toward the secondary education curriculum and the specific needs of students studying these plays, and detailed resource kits are included.
Event details:
Departure Time: 8:45am from St Marys Station.
Return Time: 2:40pm at St Marys Station.
