At our school, a strong culture of care, inclusivity, and teamwork underpins everything we do. We are committed to supporting every student to achieve their personal best through meaningful collaboration with their teachers. Our broad and engaging curriculum is designed to reflect the diverse interests and needs of our students, celebrating the individuality and uniqueness of each learner.
Every student is supported by two Year Advisers who will support them from Year 7 to Year 12 and all students start the day in a dedicated roll call group to ensure each young person is known, supported, and genuinely cared for. This daily connection helps build a strong sense of belonging and wellbeing across our school.
Student Leadership and Recognition
At Colyton High School we actively foster student voice and leadership through the Student Voice team, the Senior Leadership team, Year 10 Peer Mentors and various leadership groups. We recognise and celebrate student achievements through merit and recognition awards, encouraging all students to strive for excellence in every aspect of school life and engage meaningfully in cocurricular activities.
Student Pathways
Colyton High School provides pathways for students beyond school towards university entry, TAFE, apprenticeships and traineeships and into meaningful employment. The school has a proud history of excellence in Vocational Education and Training delivering a number of courses at school that enable students to receive their Higher School Certificate as well as a certificate 2 or 3 in courses in including Construction, Hospitality, Retail and Business Services, and Entertainment. Students at Colyton High School are also offered opportunities to study specialised courses at TAFE during Year 11 and 12 as well as taking on School Based Apprenticeships/Traineeships.
Colyton High School has a strong focus on providing pathways for students seeking to study at university, supporting students to gain access through various early entry schemes and scholarships.
