Museum of Contemporary Art Excursion
Year 11, 10 & 9 Photography students are invited to attend an excursion to the Museum of Contempary Art, Sysdney.The Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) shows students current ideas and practices in art and photography. Visiting the permanent exhibition promotes a broader understanding and the application of photography as a medium in artworks by Australian and International artists.
This excursion is limited in student numbers and only students who return the first 30 permission notes to the CAPA staffroom will be attending the excursion.

- 8.25: Meet at St Mary’s Railway Station for Roll Call
- 8.56: Train from St Mary’s Station to Wynyard Station
- 9.55: Arrive at Wynyard
- 10.15: Walk from Wynyard Train Station to the MCA along George Street
- 11.00 – 12.00: Tour of the gallery
- 12.00 – 12.15: Walk to Ms Donald's Circular Quay
- 12.15 – 12.45: Lunch
- 12.45 – 13.00: Explore Circular Quay with teacher supervision to take photographs
- 13.00: Walk back to Wynyard Train Station along George Street
- 13:35: Wynyard Train Station Platform 3 catch the train back to St Mary’s Station
- 14.35: Arrive at St Mary’s Station: Students dismissed on arrival
